Poor mom. If I had a daughter living in a big city I would freak out too. I will admit that scares me. Even going from Sherrard to Dekalb was a culture shock. Imagine growing up in a town with no crime. We never locked our doors, people leave their cars running when they go into the four businesses we have, and talking to a stranger was never a big deal. I definitely miss that about my small farm town. As much as I love Chicago, it has one of the highest crime rates. This reminds me of the Take Back The Night March. No one should have to worry about assault. We live in a sad world.
